  Had dinner on Friday, January 13, 2017 at this restaurant. While the hostess and wait staff were very friendly and efficient, the food left something to be desired. They have a large selection of seafood, however, every piece of seafood has the same seasoning: salt, pepper and paprika. Tarter sauce was the only sauce offered. We had trout. It was dry and parts of it were chewy. The sides offered were cole slaw, dinner salad, rice pilaf, carrots, broccoli, and Romano potatoes. I had the Romano potatoes and salad. I could not eat the potatoes. They were dry and cold. The salad was small and wilted. The waitress replaced the potatoes with broccoli which was adequate. Large dinner rolls were served with the meal which were good. I was very disappointed! With the variety of fish they offer, one would think there would be some other preparation available! Would not return to this restaurant!

  The food was good with the exception of the pasta on the kids menu, it was oily and chewy.
  
  We were not impressed with the service, they beought the kid's meal well before the rest of the entrees. Our grandson, who is 3, was done eating before we received our meals and was ready to go. Meals also came randomly and not at the same time. Also took forever to get a simple garden salad and drink refills.
  
  Will we go there again? Don't know.

  Gatecrashed my brothers 60th birthday party here, having travelled from Wales without his.knowledge!
  The staff assisted by showing me to a separate bar out of sight, so I could surprise him on his arrival.
  The service and food were superb throughout my visit!!

  I used to just love Fish house Vera Cruz but they have gone down hill in my opinion in several areas. The prices have gone up considerably over the past several years and the portion sizes seem smaller. The side order of carrots used to be sliced and flavorful. Now they are carrot sticks basically and aren't even really cooked. They tasted like look warm crispy carrots as if they were steamed for about 30 seconds. Their food just isn't good enough for their prices anymore. I used to think the exact opposite, good food with reasonable prices but it just isn't so anymore.

  Delicious seafood, cooked to perfection. The oyster rockafeller , clam chowder, monk fish and smoked salmon absolutely the best. Day 2 even better, crab legs; excellent and yummy key lime pie.
